Like A Fish Out Of Salty Water

Nothing flows and everything stagnates — hnnngggghhh!

We translate the chronic disease endometriosis into poetic figures — with their manifold growths and everyday restrictions we fictionalize them into monsters. These poetic figures of endometriosis stand for abstract and at the same time threatening organisms that influence, challenge, and weigh down our everyday lives and yet are so familiar to us as lifelong companions in all their monstrousness.

Performatively, we question the lack of space for chronic diseases within a free-market logic: are not the chronic diseases the monsters at all, but the repressive capitalist structures under which we always have to carry on regardless of our state of health?

We create pleasurable counter-designs on stage, completed with transforming bodies, sound surfaces, choreography and a very very impractical pet.

Take a breath and get into our chronic aquarium!
